A Warning from Imitating the Unbelievers – By Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul Wāḥid

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all creation—and may He extol the Messenger in the highest company of Angels, and grant him peace and security—likewise to his family, Companions, and true followers.

[28/06/2024] A Warning from Imitating the Unbelievers – By Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul Wāḥid حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

• The great importance of being proud of our ascription to Islām, which Allāh has honoured us with.
• The dominance of Islām over all the other religions. 
• The dīn Allāh commanded all of the Messengers to establish.
• Clear proof from the Sunnah for the prohibition of imitating the unbelievers. 
• Shaykh al-Fawzān (حفظه الله) on outward imitation of the unbelievers leading to negation of true īmān. 
• The inferiority complex of many Muslims today and their widespread imitation of the unbelievers. 
• Understanding that every small and great matter was clarified for us by the Messenger ﷺ and we are distinguished from the unbelievers in every affair.
• The command to grow the beard and trim the moustache. 
• The slippery slope of imitating the unbelievers. 
• The prohibition of shaving part of the head and leaving a part long, and speech from Shaykh ‘Abdullāh al-Bassām (رحمه الله) on the repugnancy of this practice 
• The weakness of īmān and lack of self-respect of the Muslim women who demean themselves online by following social media influencers. 
• Encouragement to read the sīrah of our honourable Messenger ﷺ and get our priorities right before it is too late.
